一年一度星光熠熠精英匯聚的香港影壇盛事「第四十三屆香港電影金像奬」（金像奬）將於後晚4月27日（周日）假香港文化中心隆重舉行，屆時將揭曉2024年度港產片成績表，並為優秀的港產片及表現超卓的電影人加冕。

「第四十三屆香港電影金像奬」盛會一如以往分兩部份進行：
(一) 下午4時30分在香港文化中心露天廣場舉行的「紅地氈」為盛事掀起序幕，逾百位本屆榮獲提名的候選人及頒獎嘉賓率先華麗登場，星光閃耀維港海濱；
(二) 頒獎典禮於晚上7時30分在香港文化中心大劇院盛大展開，即場揭曉及頒發十九項大獎，並頒發殿堂級榮譽獎項「終身成就奬」予著名導演徐克先生及資深電影製作人施南生女士，以及「專業精神奬」予資深國語配音演員姜小亮先生及韓冬青女士伉儷，表彰四位多年來在各自的專業領域的出色表現和卓越貢獻，為香港影壇增添異彩，提昇港產片在中國及國際市場的地位，成就非凡。

金像奬頒獎典禮是香港歷史最悠久、最具代表性且最大規模的國際華語影壇盛事。香港電影金像獎協會主席爾冬陞表示：「本屆金像獎自去年十月起籌備，匯聚近一千名本地電影業界同業參與，並獲得各界專業人士協力製作。頒獎禮的焦點固然在即場揭曉各大獎項誰屬，而別具心思的節目內容及嘉賓傾力演出亦極盡視聽之娛，務求為現場嘉賓以及透過電視、網上及不同平台收看的觀眾帶來一個難忘的金像獎頒獎典禮。」

紅地氈向來是明星及出席嘉賓展示閃耀星光與時尚魅力的華麗場地，今屆大會恢復設立「最佳衣著獎」，邀得曾在世界性模特兒大賽獲得香港及亞太區雙冠軍的王丹妮擔任評判，選出在本屆金像獎紅地氈上穿戴得最耀目的男女最佳衣著得獎人。

去屆頒獎典禮中，由參與提名「最佳電影」的演員現場介紹各候選電影的環節獲得好評，今屆將由黃德斌（《九龍城寨之圍城》）、呂爵安（《爸爸》）、聾童鄭進希及小演員黃暐恆（《看我今天怎麼說》）、周家怡（《破。地獄》）及梁仲恆（《從今以後》）代表介紹他們的候選電影。此外，歌手及音樂人陳卓賢、張天賦、陳蕾、林家謙及邱彥筒(排名按大會提名名單)也將現場獻唱「最佳原創電影歌曲」的候選作品。

適逢本屆有以聾人為主角的電影入圍，大會邀請約十名聾人參與部份節目演出，同時招待他們在大劇院內欣賞頒獎典禮，並安排專人為他們提供即時手語傳譯服務。

此外，「香港電影金像奬協會」安排在社交媒體平台、免費電視及網絡平台播映「第四十三屆香港電影金像獎」，播映安排如下：

- 《小薯茄》繼去屆第四十二屆後，本屆繼續成為大會網絡平台直播伙伴，主持程人富、蔡曉童（童童）、姚澤汶(肥蚊)及關浩傑（阿J）於紅地氈時段駐守香港文化中心海濱訪問候選人及與會嘉賓，並在「香港電影金像奬」及「Pomato小薯茄」的YouTube平台同步直播。

- 「香港電影金像奬」的Instagram在紅地氈時段不時報導現場最新情況及發放限時動態短片。

頒獎典禮：晚上7時30分至晚上10時30分

- 「香港電影金像奬」 YouTube平台直播得獎人在新聞中心與傳媒見面分享得奬感受。

- 大會網絡平台直播伙伴《小薯茄》四位主持於新聞中心後台追訪得獎者，訪問片段在「香港電影金像奬」及「foodpanda香港」的 Facebook及Instagram 以帖文形式不時發放。

「大會指定電視台及電視製作伙伴」香港電視娛樂有限公司(ViuTV)及MakerVille安排香港免費電視頻道ViuTV 99台及網絡平台(ViuTV流動應用程式及ViuTV官方網頁https://viu.tv)於4月27日下午4時30分至晚上7時同步直播「紅地氈」盛況；ViuTV兩大播映平台將於晚上7時30分起獨家現場直播「第四十三屆香港電影金像奬」頒獎典禮。

為讓有需要觀眾無障礙地欣賞本屆金像奬頒獎典禮，即時領略得獎者的感受和喜悅，ViuTV網絡平台本屆繼續與「香港聾人福利促進會」提供手語傳譯服務，以及和「香港盲人輔導會」為盛事提供口述影像服務，視障人士透過該平台「一齊睇」的功能，即可選擇在第二聲道收聽到特設之口述影像聲道。

新加坡付費電視平台Singtel TV的CM+及StarHub TV+旗下的Hub Ecity與馬來西亞付費電視平台Astro及Unifi TV的天映頻道（Celestial Movies）均會直播紅地毯及頒獎典禮，新加坡及馬來西亞的影迷屆時可同步收看「第四十三屆香港電影金像奬」全部盛況；而加拿大廿四小時華語電影付費頻道 LS Times TV則會轉播本屆香港電影金像獎頒奬典禮；此外，觀眾將於今年6月起亦可在香港國泰航空飛機航班上欣賞到此項年度華語影壇盛事。

The 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards (43rd HKFA), the annual star-studded event gathering elite figures in the Hong Kong film industry, will grandly take place on Sunday, 27th April, 2025 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. This acclaimed occasion will unveil the achievements of Hong Kong films for the year 2024 and honour outstanding local films and exceptional filmmakers.

The splendid occasion of the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards will be proceeded in two sessions as before:
(1) The Red Carpet will kick off at 4:30 p.m. at the Harbourfront Piazza of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, where over a hundred nominees and award presenters will make their glamorous appearance at the Victoria Harbour waterfront;

(2) The awards presentation ceremony will commence at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Theatre of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, where nineteen awards will be announced and presented. Additionally, the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award will be bestowed upon renowned director TSUI Hark and esteemed film producer Nansun SHI, while the Professional Achievement Award will honour the veteran Mandarin voice actor couple, KEUNG Siu Leung and HON Tung Ching, in recognition of their exceptional contributions and performances in their fields. The four distinguished awardees have made remarkable impacts on the Hong Kong film industry, enhancing the status of local films in both the Chinese and international markets.

The Film Awards presentation ceremony is the longest-standing, most iconic and the largest-scale international Chinese language cinematic event in Hong Kong. Derek YEE, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated, ‘We have been preparing for this year's awards since October last year, bringing together nearly a thousand local industry professionals and garnering support from various experts. While the focus of the ceremony is on the announcement of the major awards, we have also curated the programme content and guest performances to create an engaging audio-visual experience, with the aim of delivering an unforgettable awards ceremony for both attending guests and audiences watching through TV, online and various platforms."

The Red Carpet has always been a glamorous venue for stars and attending guests to showcase their dazzling charm and fashion appeal. This year, the HKFAA have reintroduced the ‘Best Dressed Award’, inviting Louise WONG, the Champion of both Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region in an international modeling competition, to serve as the judge. WONG will select the best-dressed male and female winners who exhibit the most outstanding attire on the Red Carpet this year.

Following the widespread acclaim received at last year's awards ceremony, the introductory remarks for the five nominated films for "Best Film" this year will also be delivered by the actors from the respective films. The presenters will include Kenny WONG Tak Bun (from Twilight of The Warriors: Walled In); Edan LUI (from PaPa); child actors Nathan Chun Hei CHENG, a deaf child, and WONG Wai Hang (from The Way We Talk); as well as Catherine CHAU Ka Yee (from The Last Dance) and LEUNG Chung Hang (from All Shall Be Well). Moreover, singers Ian CHAN, CHEUNG Tin Fu, Panther CHAN, Terrance LAM, and Marf YAU (sequence according to the nomination list of HKFAA) who are nominated for ‘Best Original Film Song’ will perform their respective movie theme songs live on stage.

This year, with film featuring deaf protagonists nominated, the HKFAA has invited around 10 deaf people to participate in some performances. They are also invited to attend the awards ceremony. Dedicated interpreters will provide immediate sign language service at the Grand Theatre.

Furthermore, the HKFAA will arrange the coverage of the 43rd HKFA on some social media platforms, free-TV channel, and online platforms. Details of the arrangement are as follows:

Red Carpet: Starting at 4:30 p.m.

- ‘Pomato’, following its role as the live streaming partner of the 42nd HKFA, continues to be a partner for this year's awards. The hosts CHING Yan Fu, CHOI Hiu Tung, YIU Chak Man and Jeffery KWAN will conduct interviews with attending nominees and guests at the harbourfront of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre during the Red Carpet. These interviews will be live-streamed on the official YouTube channels of both HKFAA and ‘Pomato’.

- HKFAA will also provide timely updates and share short video clips during the event on Instagram via its official account.

Awards Presentation Ceremony: 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

- HKFAA will livestream on YouTube the media interviews of the winners at the media centre to share their feelings about award winning.

- The 4 hosts of live streaming partner ‘Pomato’ will continue to conduct interviews with award winners at the backstage. The clips will be posted from time to time on the social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram accounts of the HKFAA and ‘foodpanda Hong Kong’.

The official TV Broadcaster and TV Production Partner ‘HK Television Entertainment Company Limited (ViuTV) and MakerVille’ will provide exclusive live broadcast of the 43rd HKFA pre-event Red Carpet from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and the awards presentation ceremony starting 7:30 p.m. via free-to-air ViuTV Channel No.99 and ViuTV online platforms (ViuTV mobile app and ViuTV official website: https://viu.tv) in Hong Kong.

ViuTV continues its collaboration with the Hong Kong Society for the Deaf to provide sign language interpretation services, and the Hong Kong Society for the Blind to offer audio description services for the HKFA presentation ceremony this year. The audio description service will be available on the second audio track during the livestream of the event. Those in need of these services will be able to experience the live presentation ceremony and share the emotions and joy of the award winners in real time.

Special arrangements will also be provided for fans in Singapore and Malaysia to watch the live broadcast of the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards including the Red Carpet via pay television platforms in both countries. In Singapore, the live broadcast will air on CM+ on Singtel TV and Hub Ecity on StarHub TV+; while in Malaysia, the live broadcast is available on both Astro and Unifi TV of Celestial Movies. Moreover, the Canadian 24-hour Chinese language pay movie channel LS Times TV will broadcast this year's Hong Kong Film Awards ceremony, movie fans will also be able to enjoy this annual grand international Chinese-language film gala show on the flight of the Cathay Pacific of Hong Kong in June 2025.

The HKFAA held a worship ritual today at the harbourfront piazza of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, where Chairman of the Board of Directors Derek YEE and Vice-chairman Manfred WONG and Debbie LAM, as well as directors MAK Chun Hung, Patrick TONG Hing Chi, Louis CHEUNG Kai Chung, CHIN Ka Lok, June WONG, WONG Hoi, Tina LIU Tin Lan, KUNG Siu Ping, Calmen LUI and YEE Kwok Leung, made their presence and prayed for the success of the award presentation ceremony.
