「香港電影金像奬協會」（大會）今日（七日）發放榮獲提名「第四十屆香港電影金像奬」-「最佳男配角」及「最佳女配角」各候選人的獨立造型照。
角逐今屆金像獎「最佳男配角」的最後五強實力不容小覷，「金像影帝」古天樂在傳記式電影《梅艷芳》一片中飾演一代歌后的恩師、造型設計師兼摯友劉培基而獲得提名。回歸港產片的「金馬影帝」謝君豪在《濁水漂流》中演繹露宿者，憑其細膩演出順利入圍。在《殺出個黃昏》演出殺手三人組的車手林雪，今次已是他第三度角逐此項殊榮。
新人柯煒林及馮皓揚均獲得「最佳男配角」及「最佳新演員」兩項提名。柯煒林在《濁水漂流》中飾演患上失語症的青年露宿者，與主角吳鎮宇一段亦父亦友的情誼，令人留下深刻印象。至於在《媽媽的神奇小子》中演出「少年蘇樺偉」入型入格的馮皓揚，是本屆「最佳男配角」及「最佳新演員」中最年青的候選人。
本屆「最佳女配角」是資深演員與新秀之爭！「金像影后」鮑起靜曾五度獲「最佳女配角」名，今屆憑藉在《除暴》中演繹澡堂老闆娘爭奪此獎，而「金馬影后」李麗珍在《濁水漂流》中則飾演出獄後的露宿者。
廖子妤則以兩個截然不同的角色入圍，她分別在《梅艷芳》飾演早逝的梅愛芳及在《智齒》中飾演殘疾毒販Coco姐，各有突出發揮。鍾雪瑩在《殺出個黃昏》中扮演欲尋死的未婚懷孕少女，與老戲骨謝賢合演一段「爺孫情」，亦為她帶來「最佳女配角」及「最佳新演員」兩項提名。從未參演的白浪，以其母親、前中國女排名將郎平為故事骨幹的《奪冠》中，首次演繹年青郎平的奮鬥史，讓她成為「最佳女配角」候選五強之列。
「第四十屆香港電影金像奬」已定於七月十七日在九龍灣國際展貿中心匯星舉行。是次資助機構為創意香港及電影發展基金，大會指定電視台及電視製作伙伴ViuTV及MakerVille，大會指定香水、化妝及護膚品贊助商法國嬌蘭，以及場地贊助億京發展及策劃有限公司。
Hong Kong Film Awards Association (HKFAA) released today the styling portraits of the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards “Best Supporting Actor” and “Best Supporting Actress” nominees.
The top five nominees for the “Best Supporting Actor” award this year are all well-matched. The “Best Actor” winner of the 37th Hong Kong Film Awards Louis KOO (古天樂) has received another nomination for “Best Supporting Actor” since 2008 in Protege《門徒》, playing fashion designer Eddie LAU Pui-kei (劉培基), the mentor, styling director and intimate friend of Queen of Pop Anita MUI Yim-fong (梅艷芳) in biographical film Anita《梅艷芳》. The Golden Horse Film “Best Leading Actor” awardee TSE Kwan-ho (謝君豪) received the “Best Supporting Actor” nomination this year for his delicate performance as a homeless man in Drifting《濁水漂流》. This movie marks his return to Hong Kong film after developing his acting career in mainland in recent years. LAM Suet (林雪) is running the third time for the “Best Supporting Actor” title for playing the driver of a hitman trio in Time《殺出個黃昏》.
New talents Will OR (柯煒林) and FUNG Ho-yeung (馮皓揚) compete for both “Best Supporting Actor” and “Best New Performer” awards this year. In Drifting《濁水漂流》, Will OR plays a homeless youngster suffering from aphasia. His close friendship and father-son-like relationship with the protagonist played by Francis NG (吳鎮宇) has made a profound impression on the audience. FUNG Ho-yeung (馮皓揚), who exceled in his vivid portrayal of teen “William So Wa-wai” in Zero to Hero《媽媽的神奇小子》, is the youngest nominee for this year’s “Best Supporting Actor” and “Best New Performer” award categories.
As for the “Best Supporting Actress” award, it is also competition between veteran actresses and new talents. Previous “Best Actress” awardee at the 28th Hong Kong Film Award PAW Hee-ching (鮑起靜) is a sixth-time nominee for “Best Supporting Actress”. This year, her acting as a bathhouse hostess in Caught in Time《除暴》has earned her the nomination to compete for this award category again . The Golden Horse Film “Best Leading Actress” trophy holder Loletta LEE (李麗珍) received her nomination for playing a street sleeper after released from prison in Drifting《濁水漂流》.
Fish LIEW (廖子妤)’s versatile acting skill in playing two entirely different roles, namely the late singer Ann MUI Oi-fong (梅愛芳), sister of pop queen Anita MUI in Anita《梅艷芳》, and the disabled drug dealer Coco in Limbo《智齒》, has won her twin nominations. CHUNG Suet-ying’s performance in Time《殺出個黃昏》as an unmarried pregnant teenager with suicidal tendency co-starring with veteran actor Patrick TSE-yin (謝賢) in a touching grandpa-and-granddaughter like relationship, has brought her nominations for both “Best Supporting Actress” and “Best New Performer”. BAI Lang (白浪) has made her acting debut in Leap《奪冠》, a movie based on her mother, infamous Chinese volleyball legend LANG Ping (郎平). Bai’s performance, which encapsulates the struggles and success of the young LANG Ping, has earned her a place among the top five nominees for “Best Supporting Actress”.
The 40th Hong Kong Film Awards will be held on 17 July 2022 at The Star Hall at The Kowloonbay International Trade and Exhibition Centre (KITEC).
